What is Plymouth planning – that will have an effect on

 

Is Bickleigh going to be swallowed up in Plymouth

 

How much control do we have

 

Is there any point in consulting with public – will they just do it anyway?

 

Telephones – no plans to update Roborough exchange – area too rural to meet Government targets

 

Loss of land currently used for recreation – were will children play?

 

Loss of land for dog walking

 

Loss will affect all ‘groups’ who have access at the moment

 

What %age of housing is affordable?

 

%age of housing in adjoining areas ought to be taken into account

 

Wider policing – currently Ivybridge is nearest point

 

If the ‘Baker Proposal’ of both pieces of land was accepted the decision of the meeting was that the vote should be ‘no’

 

Improvement of current parking problems

 

Need for communication – email addresses will be taken so that Parish Council can update as best they can.

 

All information regarding travellers site to be passed to all in the Parish for feedback

  

Issues regarding property/cars on adjacent sites is area of concern

 

Can SHDC (BPC) influence traffic light system at George.  The 19 seconds is rather short! 

 

Update needed on Darklake Farm development

 

BPC agenda to go on website.  Allow people to decide if issues require their attendance.

 

SHDC to provide 6000 homes with 500 on fringe

 

No plans before SHDC at the moment

 

Need a back door to Woolwell NOW

 

We do not want more development in this area

Major incidents cause already cause disruption – what about access thro Darklake Lane gates

Preferred option announced prior to consultation

 

Who is living in proposed new housing – what is housing for?

 

Where are they going to work

No connection between adjoining authorities taking into account possible developments just over the borders

 

Roborough village used as a P+R and will get worse

Concern about conflict of interest with Dartmoor National Park

 

Concerns of lack of representation at meetings due to conflicts of interest

 

Plymouth is unlikely to encourage new business with poor transport links

 

Siting of travellers site discouraging local businesses due to perceived nuisance

Request to be more informed of what is happening- where and when

 

Make information available more widely – via shops, Woolwell Centre and website
