Brian Hill

Brian dedicated many years of service to the Parish Council and to the wider community of Bickleigh. Throughout his time as a councillor and Chairman, he worked tirelessly to support residents, always placing the interests of the parish above his own.  His commitment to public service was unwavering, and his contribution to parish life will be remembered with gratitude and respect. 

Brian was a man of strong principles and good morals. He approached every discussion with honesty, integrity and pragmatism, offering balanced views and practical solutions to the challenges faced by the community. His judgement was respected by fellow councillors and residents alike, and his focus was always on doing what was right for Bickleigh. 

What made Brian particularly special was his selflessness. He gave his time generously, listened carefully to others, and never sought personal recognition for his efforts. His motivation was always to improve the community that he cared so deeply about and to ensure that local people had a voice. He was instrumental  in the recent Woolwell centre upgrade project and dedicated many hours supporting it to ensure progress.

On behalf of Bickleigh Parish Council, we extend our sincere condolences to Brian's wife, family and friends. Brian's dedication, kindness and leadership have left a lasting legacy within our parish, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
